Lunar calendar on iPhone Duo: vLunar designed for two panes
Updated November 6, 2026 • vLunar
Since version 2.6, vLunar has a layout designed for iPhone Duo. Unfold the phone and the Vietnamese lunar calendar opens like a book: the month grid on one side, the full day card on the other. Fold it and the app switches to a single-screen layout with a Liquid Glass button rail on the right edge. The app detects the phone on its own; there is nothing to turn on.

Unfolded: a lunar calendar like a book
When you unfold iPhone Duo, vLunar shows two panes side by side, like an open calendar:
- Left pane: the month grid with the solar and lunar date in every cell, and the month's events below.
- Right pane: the full day card with the lunar date, Can Chi of the day, month and year, the solar term, sunrise and sunset, the 12 zodiac hours and the day's events.
- Far right: a Liquid Glass button rail to jump to today, share, quickly add an event and open settings.
- Tap a day in the left pane and the right pane follows at once, without changing screens.
Folded: clean on a single screen
When you fold the phone, vLunar switches to a single-screen layout: the day card and the month grid swipe smoothly. The button rail sits on the right edge, clear of the camera area and the home indicator, so it never covers content.
The Liquid Glass button rail
- Top: Today to jump back to today, or the back arrow when you are in a sub-screen.
- Bottom: share the day card, quickly add an event (for example a memorial day that repeats every lunar year) and settings.
Settings, Journal and calendar management follow suit
Sub-screens such as Setting, the Journal and calendar management use the same layout and margins as the main screen, so the whole app feels consistent folded or unfolded.
